Process + Progress

I haven’t really sat down to write or document anything formally because in a lot of ways I haven’t “finished” anything.

But in reality, that isn’t 100% accurate – I have finished the sample for my Önska pattern and writing the first draft of the pattern, I finished an entire handspun shawl, and I have finished a lot of handpsun yarn. I’ve also almost finished fixing my Primrose (the neck opening is still too wide).

I’ve also made a lot of progress on other pieces – I’ve outlined a handful of really solid sweater patterns I hope to sample knit, write-up, and release in the coming year; I’ve gotten Jeremy’s blanket onto the loom in order to attempt weaving a full-sized blanket – a long-term goal of mine; and I’m starting to understand what types of yarns I like to spin and am getting better at taking notes(!)

I’ve also purchased a pants sewing class from Sew Liberated, and I’ve reorganized my “studio” room to have a clear floor (just in time to look at purchasing a Macomber 16-shaft loom second hand, but let’s celebrate the small wins, ok??)

Anyway, that’s all for now. Hopefully there will be another finished sweater or two sometime soon…
